  • A. We don’t tell you what to do, judge your situation, or require you to accept all our recommendations.

  • A. The first step of your 1:1 meeting is for you and your coach to get to know each other. Your coach will take the time to give you an overview of the financial and energy coaching process and ask questions to get to know what is important to you. Together, you and your coach will then clarify your goals, review your financial situation, and brainstorm options. Your coach will identify what resources are available, assist you in creating a relevant action plan, and set you on the path forward toward greater financial security and energy savings.

  • A. We are here to guide you on your financial journey and to help you feel confident about your large and small money decisions. There are many incentives, rebates, and savings programs available that are designed to stretch the money you do have. We work with you to access those programs so that you can reach your financial and energy goals.

  • A. You and your coach will look at how much of your budget goes to your vehicle, fuel to heat your home, and how much you spend on utilities each month. These are the three biggest energy expenses in most budgets. Your coach can guide you to energy saving options that make sense for you, could save you money, and reduce your fossil fuel usage. Some examples might include hanging clothes to dry, switching to LED lighting, purchasing an e-bike to get to work, and switching to an electric heat pump.

  • A. Reducing energy usage saves money and also limits our contribution to climate change. Vermonters are negatively impacted by changes in the environment in every aspect of our lives.
