  • Dana Peterson

    Description goes hereDana Peterson is the Financial and Energy Coach for BROC Community Action serving Benington and Rutland counties.

    Dana has been a lifelong educator working as both a teacher and public-school administrator. He has also served in a volunteer capacity with a number of youth and adult organizations emphasizing the development of personal as well as business finance and energy skills and applications. He has led organizational change initiatives and has experience controlling energy usage and helping others identify opportunities to reduce fossil fuel consumption and save money by adopting new technologies including solar panels and heat pumps. For him, it is a true pleasure to work with others to share information and knowledge to foster empowered decision-making.

    Dana enjoys traveling; outdoor activities including biking, hiking, kayaking, and swimming; listening to music from around the world; home improvement projects; and languages. Trained as a linguist, he is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of four other spoken languages.

    Jen Myers is the Financial and Energy Coach for Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) serving Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties.

    Jen’s experience teaching personal finance skills to adults and high school students has led to her belief that knowledge is empowerment. She can help you answer personal finance questions about how to reduce energy bills, create a more comfortable living space, or make an energy efficient purchase of a home heating source or vehicle. She encourages developing personal finance skills in order to make wiser and more informed choices about where your money goes.

    Jen enjoys being outside as much as possible, skiing, kayaking, swimming and listening to music all across the Green Mountain State.

    Erik Schultz is the Financial & Energy Coach for NEKCA serving Caledonia, Essex & Orleans Counties.

    Erik has a diverse professional background with experience in the travel and publishing as well as renewable energy industries. He has lived and worked abroad on several different occasions and made Vermont his home since 2020. While working in the Solar Industry he became a clean energy fanatic and is passionate about helping Vermonter’s transition to powering their homes and vehicles sustainably.

    Erik has a deep interest in and concern with environmental issues and has volunteered and has worked on campaigns to preserve wilderness areas and with wildlife conservation. He has also advocated and worked with several agencies on hunger relief and was a regular volunteer with the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. He enjoys spending time with his wife and enjoying the outdoor opportunities available in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom such as skiing, hiking, swimming and biking. They share their home with two spoiled cats, an ever-changing cast of foster pets.
